Debbie and I attended the Autumn Glory Festival in Western Maryland this past weekend (October 14-16) and got some remarkably stunning aerial photos and videos of the countryside. The Fall foliage was in full peak color and the weather could not have been more cooperative. Besides attending the numerous activities that are a part of the festivities, touring the countryside was the highlight of the trip for us as we were looking for (and easily found) some dramatic Autumn vistas that we could add to our growing portfolio of memories.
We recommend this picturesque event next year (2017) as it will be a celebration of the 50th Autumn Glory Festival. If you would like more information about the festival, visit visitdeepcreek.com. It is an event that you won’t want to miss. Driving the backcountry roads of Garrett County, Maryland will be rewarded with some of the most spectacular Fall vistas that you will ever experience. We highly recommend visiting the Youghiogheny River, Swallow Falls, Savage River, New Germany State Park and, of course Deep Creek Lake. BE CERTAIN YOU BRING YOUR CAMERA(s).
